To my patients,
Recently, an acute exacerbation of a chronic back problem lead my orthopedist to recommend that I retire from practice. Because of the need for me to heed his advice in a timely fashion, I was not able to say goodbye in person to most of you. My hope is that in reading this letter you will know how much I love and will miss you. I am so grateful to God that I had the opportunity to be your physician. Taking care of you has been my privilege and joy over the past almost 15 years, and I thank you for entrusting your health to me. In delivering your babies, performing your surgeries, seeing you for annual exams and so much more, my life has been enriched far more than anything I imagined when I first chose this profession. We have swapped stories, endured life’s trials and celebrated its joys, and shared both laughter and tears, becoming important parts of each other’s lives along the way. You have given my life meaning and purpose that it would never have had without you. As I trust God to guide me in this new phase of my life, I am also praying that He meets your needs and blesses your families. I know that my colleagues here at Southern Crescent Women’s Healthcare will continue to provide you with excellent medical care.
