About Amy Van Orden
Amy Van Orden, CNM, APRN has been caring for women, babies, and children for 17 years. She has been a Certified Nurse Midwife in both Georgia and Florida for the past 5 years and has enjoyed making Fayette County her home. She was born and raised in Tennessee and moved to Seattle, Washington in the 90s. While in Seattle she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Seattle Pacific University. Amy has enjoyed a career as a nurse in high risk Obstetrics, Women’s Health, and Pediatric Oncology. She continued her education and received her Master’s degree in Nursing Administration in 2011. The birth of her own daughter shaped her desire to pursue further education in midwifery. She graduated cum laude with a Master’s in Nurse Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2015 and since then has been practicing full scope midwifery. Amy enjoys helping women build healthy families and loves seeing women empowered through their unique journey to motherhood. Amy is married with one daughter and 2 miniature dachshunds, Biscuit and Honey. She is a crochet fanatic and loves all things Disney. She enjoys traveling, trying new recipes, reading historical fiction, and perfecting the perfect cup of coffee.
